to the nth degree

morningwood have fast become one of my favourite bands of the month. Check out the filmclip to “Nth Degree”. It’s amazing!

(thanks to Shogun1974 for the heads up. These guys rock!)

Not even a virtual rubber mallet can bash out the huge dent in my armour tonight.

(no, kids, I’m not playing some whiz bang video game where I am dressed in armour…I just feel like I’ve been ploughed into by a ten tonne truck. Yay for being able to bounce back and all that…meh..)

If I could choose a theme song for the last few weeks, it would most definitely be “Should I Stay or Should I Go” by The Clash. I found myself humming that tune out loud quite a bit whilst at wrrk. It’s not just wrrk that’s been up and down, it’s been everything.

The only few calming things in my life have been talking to Surlywotsit, playing Xbox360 and watching old Tom and Jerry cartoons (yes, I do lead such an INTERESTING life…..NOT).

I’ve been asking myself the same old question for the last few days “What if?”

What if I suddenly was back at square one with no job, no friends, no concept of a future, no commitment, no responsibilities…..effectively no life. Would I be as happy as I was when this same sort of thing happened to me three years ago or are the changes that I’m currently going through good ones? Ones that will help me grow and learn.

I almost lost a hell of a lot last week but after taking two steps back today and having a good snarky laugh at everything that had been bothering me, I’m chilled again and have much to do. Wrrk is back to a tolerable state of normal. I want to go out and take more photos and write some music.

With things being ok again, should I really continue blogging?

Xbox 360 acquired and my general verdict regarding this console is WHY THE HELL DIDN’T MICROSOFT COME OUT WITH THIS PIECE OF SHINY SHINY LOVE SOONER?????!!!!!!11ONEELEVEN!!11

I have a fear that Xbox Live will be the new crack for me and Oblivion…..oh sweet Oblivion, you are such delicious eyecandy.

I’ve only been tinkering around with this new console for the last three hours but it looks like my poor little gaming beast PC has found a new replacement. Now, if only Microsoft would get up off their arses and provide backward compatibility for old games such as Burnout 3: Takedown and Jet Set Radio Future, then I would be most content.

If you’re one of the few smart monkeys that owns a 360, add me as a friend. I’m Lookything on Xbox Live (see gamercard to the bottom left of screen)

deconstruct.me.uk is on holiday until I get around to figuring out whether or not I’m going to renew hosting for another year. Call me lazy or too preoccupied with my soon to be cherished little Xbox 360 but hosting this site isn’t high on my list of things to do at the moment.

(selfish cow, aren’t I?)

If you were reading that last bit carefully, you’ll have noticed that I did mention that I was getting an Xbox 360 and I’ll be getting that cute little baby come 9am (not long to go now)

I’m loving the huge retail war that’s suddenly sprouted out of nowhere. I preordered my baby and I’m hoping that the kind folk at EB Melbourne Central sell me my console for $628 instead of $649 (I love the power of pricematching in the morning). I’m stunned that BigW and JB HiFi have gone and dropped the price of the console to $628 and $618 respectively and also dropped ALL Xbox 360 games to only $75.

I’m still unsure as to which games I’m going to buy. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter looks damn sweet, as does Project Gotham Racing 3. The question that remains, which game should I buy?
